EEE201 Laboratory — Rules & Operation
Dear Students, Please read the following rules carefully. These apply to all EEE201 Laboratory sessions throughout the semester.
Attendance & Preparation ► Preliminary Work is mandatory. • Students who arrive without the completed Preliminary Work will not be admitted to the session and will be marked absent. ► Bring your laboratory notebook and the experiment sheet to every session. Students without either item cannot participate.
Laboratory Notebook► Each student must prepare a laboratory notebook before the experiments begin. ► Notebook type: 60 or 80-page square-ruled notebook. ► First page must include: • Title: EEE201 LAB • Student’s full name • Student number • Laboratory group (day and time of your lab session)
For each experiment, include these sections: 1) Preliminary Work (done before the session)• Answer all questions in detail. • Write solutions directly in the notebook (not on loose sheets). • Show complete steps, formulas, and reasoning. 2) Experimental Work (done during the session)• Record all measurements and results in tabular form. • Draw all graphs on graph paper and label them properly. • Draw all circuit diagrams clearly in the notebook. 3) Conclusion (completed after the experiment, before the next session)• Answer the conclusion questions thoroughly.
Collection: Notebooks will be collected by the assistants at the end of the semester and will not be returned.
Assessment & GradingYour laboratory grade will be calculated as follows: • Quizzes (4 total): 30% • Final Exam: 40% • Laboratory Report: 30%
Notes:Quizzes may cover Preliminary Work, theory, measurements, and procedures. The Laboratory Report must follow the structure and clarity requirements above (data tables, graphs on graph paper, labeled figures, clear circuit diagrams, and proper discussion in the Conclusion).
